Week 5 - Group A - Chris

  1. Writing and visualization seems to be a real common thread amongst us this week. How neat that you got to see this first hand this week through your learning profile student! I walked away with some ideas about how to incorporate that into my future class room as well.
    Thanks for sharing!

  2. Visualization does directly translate into writing and is a great way to help people of all ages breakdown the often daunting task of writing. It works easily because sketches and bits of written ideas can build off each other. For example, sometimes children's books are written and then illustrated, and sometimes they are illustrated and then writing added to them. I also think that using memory, asking probing questions, critical thinking, and using reference materials (other readings, experts) are all other ways that need to be included in teaching writing.

  3. Visualization is certainly an important part of both the writing and reading process, I focused on this concept as well. It is interesting to see my LP student due the same things. Sketching also seems like a great tool to spark creativity. Thanks

  4. How cool that you learned something significant this week! This shows that you have an open mind and are willing to take in new ideas! A very important quality for a teacher.
I'm glad that the video was useful for you. Seeing it in action can make all the difference.
